Students at universities partnered with the NIAAA are given the opportunity to engage with our Leadership Training Courses in a unique atmosphere. The following universities will use our materials to inform their course work and some will have students complete 500 level courses – the building blocks of earning any NIAAA certification. APUS (which includes American Military University and American Public University) offers a Master of Science in Sports Management degree entirely online. The program is designed for individuals who are interested in sports management, coaching, and/or athletic administration. Students have the flexibility to focus on specific concentrations such as Coaching Theory and Strategy, Sports Business Leadership, or Interscholastic Athletic Administration. The program consists of 30 hours taking place over 10 courses, and is accredited by the Commission on Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA). Select courses align with NIAAA's RAA and CAA certifications and meet NIAAA requirements for LTC 501, 502, 503, 504, and 506.

Bemidji State University offers athletic administrators an opportunity to earn academic credit for Leadership Training Courses. Graduate credit can be earned by enrolling in a 1-credit Bemidji State graduate course. Note: Athletic administrators may register for this course more than one time per semester or summer to earn academic credit for any Leadership Training Courses completed at a state or national conference, online, or via webinar. Elizabethtown College offers an online Graduate Certificate in Sports Management to elevate students awareness of business and leadership careers in sports and athletics. This 12-credit certificate includes four online courses which can be completed in as little as one year. The certificate can also be stacked into the College's 36-credit Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Strategic Leadership (MSL). Students who complete the Sports Management certificate are eligible to apply for the RAA certification through the NIAAA. The Master of Science in Athletic Administration degree program is in partnership with the NIAAA and requires 36 credit hours of graduate credits. Class projects will be conducted by students for groups of two NIAAA Leadership Training Courses (LTCs) completed as a part of the 12 course program. Projects are designed to utilize information from LTCs to provide applicable experience, while the courses are open-enrollment to accommodate the busy schedules of athletic administrators. Morningside University offers 24 Leadership Training Courses (LTCs) that are bundled into six 3-credit online graduate courses, taught by experienced and respected athletic directors. The courses may be taken individually, or as a complete series, and may count toward a Master of Arts in Athletic Program Management (32 hours). The six AD courses cover the content required to test for the NIAAA CAA exam, and prepare for a CMAA level. Tuition costs = $365 per credit hour. Ohio University offers an online Master of Science degree in Athletic Administration with a specific focus on interscholastic athletic administration. The degree requires 30-credit hours and can be completed in as little as 20 months. Courses are taught entirely online with one required 3-day, on-campus residency that takes place at the end of June in Athens, Ohio. Ohio University has partnered with the NIAAA to include 11 LTCs within the MAA curriculum. Rochester Christian University's Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree program in Sport Management provides an extensive curriculum that equips students with the necessary management and leadership skills for today's sport industry. To help better prepare its students for the many challenges facing athletic administrators, RCU offers NIAAA's LTC 501, 502, and 503 within its three-credit-hour Interscholastic Athletic Administration course. Students who successfully complete all three LTCs and meet the requirements for a BBA degree in Sport Management will earn the Registered Athletic Administrator (RAA) certification. The Athletic Leadership master's program (M.Ed or M.S.) at Springfield College equips students with the knowledge and skills to develop as inclusive, equity-minded leaders who create empowering sport experiences and positively impact the sport community.
Opportunities for fieldwork in various sport settings (e.g., youth, interscholastic, intercollegiate, and professional) provide students with valuable practical experience and meaningful connections with professionals in the field to enhance their classroom learning. Students have the opportunity to design the curriculum path, including a focus on athletic administration and/or coaching. LTC 501, 502, 503, 504, and 506 are embedded within the legal issues and interscholastic athletic administration courses, so students can achieve RAA status. The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) offers a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in School Athletic Program Leadership.
The program is 100% online, which allows for working professionals to complete coursework at their convenience. The NIAAA Leadership Training Institute manuals are used within the coursework for the program. Students who complete the program are eligible to apply to be Registered Athletic Administrators (RAAs) with the NIAAA. This unique program is specifically geared to individuals who wish to work in the K-12 school setting as an athletic administrator. The certificate is part of the Educational Leadership program at UTC. Credits earned during the certificate program may be applied to the Masters of Education (MEd) or Education Specialist (EdS) degrees, or maybe used for towards earning an Instructional Leader License in the State of Tennessee (school administrator license).

The West Virginia University College of Applied Human Sciences offers an Area of Emphasis in Interscholastic Athletic Administration within its Master of Science in Sport Management program designed to educate the next generation of interscholastic athletic administration leaders. This fully online area of emphasis requires students to complete 10 courses (30 credits) over five semesters. Through this curriculum and billed at in-state rates, students complete the NIAAA Leadership Training Courses (501, 502, 503, 504, 506) necessary for the RAA and CAA certifications. The 6-week courses are practitioner oriented and taught by professionals with backgrounds in sport management and interscholastic athletic administration. William Woods University offers a Master of Education in Athletics/Activities Administration degree. The program is offered online, which allows for the working professional to be involved at their convenience. The NIAAA LTI manuals are used as the primary textbook for most courses. Students purchase these manuals directly from the NIAAA at a discounted rate as a WWU student. Throughout the entire program (10 courses, 5-weeks each), students must also complete 90 hours of field experiences under the guidance of a veteran athletic administrator that the student selects early in the program. Graduates are eligible to receive some LTC credits through the NIAAA, which can be applied toward their NIAAA certification.
